Welcome to braa.org.uk - the official website of
The Bournemouth Red Arrows Association

The aim of the Bournemouth Red Arrows Association is to bring the RAF Aerobatic Team, The Red Arrows to display over Bournemouth at least once a year, and in doing so, raise money for local charities.

The Association was formed in October 1994 with the primary objective of ensuring that the most prestigious aerobatic team in the world should continue to come to Bournemouth on an annual basis and we are proud that the efforts of a very small band of volunteers has enabled us to turn this annual event to perhaps the highest profile daytime event in the town’s calendar.

Since 1998 we have had the financial backing of local business people to meet the costs of the displays and those backers have been invited to nominate charities of their choice to benefit from our efforts. To date, over £142,000 has been raised, 95% of which has helped local causes. Other donations have gone to GOSCH in London, Macmillan Cancer Research (Lincoln) and the Red Arrows Trust Fund.                          ____________________________________________________________________________________________________
BRAA and DeHA had a successful Air Festival both fundraising and flying wise - more news on the fundraising achieved and pictures of the activities will be posted in the next week or so. In the meantime, we have been told about an auction being run by Buy Once Give Twice on behalf of Oxfam which is for a Red Arrows Experience Day. The auction will end on 22nd September 2008. Details of the package and how to bid can be found by clicking the following link

Happy bidding!

NB as someone who has been privileged to attend two such days out at RAF Scampton, I can confirm it is an outing not to be missed! Webmistress
